Entry #10. Summer Improvements

 Things I will be Improving on this Summer

This summer I will take a break from school and not attend the summer semester. I will return in the fall. But for now, I feel like I should improve on a couple of things while I have the extra time. Below I will provide a list of what I plan to better myself in during the summer break and some strategies or how I will achieve my goal. 


Mental Health
For me, mental health is really important because it is something that if not taken seriously, can affect most part of someone's day. According to Wikipedia, mental health can be described as it "[encompassing] emotional, psychological, and social well-being, influencing cognition, perception, and behavior". To better my mental health, I plan to discuss my feelings and emotions with someone I trust, so that I don't have to hold everything in. I will also exercise and eat healthy so that I feel less moody and more happy.


Self-Confidence
Confidence is a big part of my life that has impacted me emotionally and physically. Confidence in one's self is the feeling of being assured and believing in yourself. The way I plan to improve my confidence is by practicing positive-self talk. One way my self confidence would also be lowered is being around the wrong people that lower it themselves. This time, I will hang around the right people who don't bring me down and take my shine away. 


Time Management
Time management is a big thing I need to improve this summer, so that by the time I go back to school in the fall, I would have mastered it. Managing my time in college would help me turn in my assignments on time, have some free time for myself in between, and if I have more time as well, I could possibly finish early. To do so, I will set deadlines, make schedules or lists, carry a planner, and not procrastinate.
